Linger Productions is an independent film production company based in New York City. We produce films and series that address critical social issues shaping communities around the world. Our work is grounded in research, lived experience, and a commitment to responsible storytelling. Each project is developed with the intention to create impact through a creative lens that stays with the audience long after viewing.
Our Approach
We focus on stories that demand attention. From humanitarian crises to social policy, Linger Productions brings clarity and depth to complex subjects by centering the people most affected. Our goal is not only to inform but to foster awareness, reflection, and conversation through films that are thoughtful, accessible, and purposeful.
Molly Calliste is a writer and director whose work centers on social justice, human rights, and underrepresented voices. Through both documentary and narrative filmmaking, she explores global issues with sensitivity and rigor, creating stories that challenge perspective while remaining deeply human.
Her films have screened internationally and received recognition from major film festivals. Molly is an active member of the film community and continues to develop projects that address urgent global concerns.
Shaohua Wen
As a veteran of the Marine Corps, Shaohua brings dedication and perseverance to the team. His organization skills and attention to details contribute greatly to the success of our projects. As a graduate of Columbia University, Shaohua brings critical thinking and problem solving to the team. His commitment and resourcefulness help push our projects to the finish line
